16MM BOLEX CAMERA Workshop with MOTHLIGHT x DNA

Excited to join Julia Yezbick + Shanna Maurizi for a 4-day 16MM lab. Mothlight Collective is partnering with Detroit Narrative Agency to offer a 4-day intensive workshop that will take place over two weekends: August 17 - 18 and August 24 - 25. This session is made possible by CultureSource and the Michigan Arts and Culture Council (Michigan Arts and Culture Council), and sponsored by Cinema Lamont (Cinema Lamont). So thrilled about the celluloid adventure ahead!


During the workshop, participants will learn the basics of how to operate a 16mm Bolex camera; will have the opportunity to shoot black and white film with the Bolex, and will hand-process the film. The footage shot on 16mm will be transferred to a digital file and shared with participants as well as screened at a public screening.
