KAF’S “Spotlight Detroit” 2023 SERIES PREMIERES AT THE 2024 Freep Film Festival

It was such an incredible privilege to work with @brockfeb @7ksaturday @fred_soundguy and @blackjordan2.0 on the @kresgeartsdetroit 2023 KAF films for two amazing artists who deserve all their flowers— @mariomooreart and @ritadickersonartist —with #donaldharrison of #7cylindersstudio as film series producer.

Kresge Arts in Detroit is partnering with the @detroitfreepress @freepfilmfestival for the world premiere of “Spotlight Detroit”, an annual film series featuring the latest cohort of fellows.

The films will premiere at the 2024 Freep Film Festival at the @diadetroit on Thursday, April 11: 2024 at 7p.

Thirteen Detroit filmmakers collaborated with the 2023 Kresge Artist Fellows in Literary and Visual Arts to create 19 dynamic short films exploring the artists’ creative practices, expressions, and journeys as artists and humans. The series culminates with a vignette of 2024 Kresge Eminent Artist, Nora Chapa Mendoza.
